Murdick's Run the Chop Challenge is on July 4th every year and has been in existence for 23 years with a little break during COVID. Over that time the 5-mile road race has generated over $120,000 for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club to support Vineyard Kids.

The race is a 5 mile loop around West Chop, beginning at the Saint Augustine Church in VH. Meant for the whole family, it kicks-off with a fun run. The race includes a fun run for kids, followed by the main race, which will start at 9 AM.

Race registration: online, in-person July 3 from 4-5 PM at Murdick’s store in Vineyard Haven, or on race morning from 7 to 8:30 am.
