Celebrate sustainability and community at the Living Local Harvest Festival, a family-friendly event dedicated to promoting sustainable living on Martha’s Vineyard.
Hosted by Living Local, the festival highlights ways Islanders can strengthen community resilience through education, local food systems, renewable energy, and conservation of marine and natural resources.
Spend the day enjoying great food, live music, and hands-on activities for all ages. Kids can dive into face painting, crafts, hayrides, and a hay bale maze, while adults can explore workshops and demonstrations focused on recycling, energy, land stewardship, and local food production. Visitors can also try traditional harvest activities like pumpkin carving, yarn spinning, making flower wreaths, and pressing fresh apple cider. The festival also features plenty of classic fall fun—local food vendors, a pie baking contest (registration required), a pie eating contest, and live music from the Flying Elbows. Meet animals, visit the Antique Power Museum, and say hello to baby chicks and Chilmark the Ox.
