After a six-month hiatus during the winter, the team at Garde East is thrilled to open its restaurant for the season on Thursday, May 23. The culinary team will be showcasing an incredible new menu, along with past guest favorites, to make this year a memorable one.
In 2018, Garde East was a Best of Cape Cod and the Islands gold medal recipient for Fine Dining & Seafood Restaurant, and a silver medal recipient for Best Waterfront Restaurant & Restaurant Reachable by Water, and the team is eager to continue impressing guests.
The dinner menu will include dishes such as Sea Bream Crudo with green almond, calamansi, and olive oil, and Foie Torchon, with strawberry jelly, pickled green strawberries, mustard seed duck jus, benne seed and sourdough. There is also Pan Roasted Tautog with crab ragout, sea lettuces and crab fat vinaigrette, among many other enticing offerings. In addition to seasonal craft beers and classic cocktails, Garde East’s wine program features over 500 French and American labels guaranteed to make dinner perfect. And starting in June, Garde East will begin offering lunch with a menu of salads, burgers, and pastas.
Just steps from the Vineyard Haven Ferry, Garde East offers prime ocean vistas from inside the main dining room, upstairs in the private loft, or on the deck over harbor. Intimate dinner parties to large scale corporate events can be accommodated alike. And no matter if traveling by car, boat, or ferry, Garde East offers accommodations for all modes of transportation, including on-site parking and a private dock for boats up to 250 feet. A private chartered ride to the island on board the M/V Pied Piper, a 72-foot luxury fast ferry, can also be arranged.
Additional special events are always happening at Garde East, including participation in Martha’s Vineyard Restaurants Week, evenings featuring special menus for the Summer Solstice and Bastille Day, Farm-to-Table dinners, and a clam bake and pig roast. Events are continuously added throughout the season.
